What’s the best way to treat stress?

Some stress is natural but out of context it can be a huge pressure on your nervous and limbic system causing it to buckle, come strained and injured. As this is the part of the brain responsible for dealing with tolerance, confidence, emotions and survival, it’s no wonder that stress can make people very over reactive and feel out of control.

Add a sprinkling of shame and guilt from these overreactions and the consequences and the limbic and nervous system suffers even more. 

Treating stress as an injury which needs healing through lifestyle, mind management and techniques is in my view the most proactive way to get back control and calm everything down.

Symptoms of stress include:

  • Drinking and smoking more
  • Increased drug use
  • Feeling tense and on edge
