“I would never have thought about coming to see someone like you,” he said shuffling uncomfortably in the chair as he made his confession.  “I thought people who went to therapists were weak and just needed to pull their socks up.  Don’t get me wrong, I am still sceptical about what you whatever it is and don’t think you can really help, but I thought I would give it a go.”

“What made you come to me then?” I asked.

“Some of my friends who I thought were sorted admitted they had therapy to help them and you were mentioned by a few of them a number of times. So I thought to myself I would just come and see what it was all about.”

A few sessions later….

“I can’t believe that I didn’t do this sooner! Feeling much better, not there just yet but I am finding my anxiety is nowhere near as strong as it was.” He smiled.

Some people when they seek therapy have all sorts of ideas about what it’s like and what type of people go to get help.  The reality is that their ideas are usually as wrong as it can get, it also takes a lot of courage to go get help from someone like me.  Most people tend to bumble about just hoping for the best that something will come and change what they need help with.  Wishful thinking isn’t proactive action, which is what you need.

The easiest way to describe what I do is that I help you learn tools to manage and train your mind.  The stronger your mind becomes in areas you need help, the more confident and relaxed you can start to feel.  Your lovely brain is constantly scanning the future and if it feels it has the resources to handle whatever could come your way then the more confident and relaxed you continue to feel.  This is a vital key when it comes to anxiety, building self esteem, self worth and confidence.

I have a clinic in Hove and also do Skype sessions for many clients. I am a coach, I use tools like hypnotherapy, counselling, IEMT, NLP, MET, EFT and Mindfulness to empower you to manage yourself in ways you may not have thought of or experienced just yet.  We go to the gym to exercise the body and coming to me is like going to the gym but to exercise the mind but without the sweat!

I specialise in anxiety, nervous disorders, panic attacks, OCD, confidence issues, sexual issues, depression, sports performance, stress and many other problems which the mind could be causing.  It really is all in the mind for most cases and most clients are surprised at just how easy it can be to reverse and change things for the better.
